Chief Kennedy Nwankwo, Chairman of the foundation, said that the gesture was to make the less privileged people in the area to actively participate in the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Nwankwo also said that the event was part of activities marking the end of a successful year for the Foundation.

The foundation is part of Bigly Group, a group of companies with subsidiaries in different sectors such as Energy, Automobile, Food processing, Woods, Oil & gas among others.

Nwankwo said that the gesture had been celebrated in the past 12 years in the community in Ihiala Local Government.

“This year’s celebration recorded a huge turnout compared to the previous years.

“Over 2,000 residents participated in the occasion which is a yearly event and usually sponsored by the Bigly Foundation.

“The gesture was extended to both indigenes and non-indigenes,” he said.
