NAN partners Moroccan News Agency on news exchange
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) has signed a partnership agreement with the Magreb Arab Press (MAP) to fast track exchange of news materials between them.
The Managing Director of NAN, Mr Ali Muhammad Ali, sealed the agreement on Tuesday on the sidelines of the ongoing 7th General Assembly of the Atlantic Federation of African Press Agencies (FAAPA) holding in Rabat,Morocco.
NAN is an Executive Council member of FAAPA.
Fouad Arif, the Director-General of MAP, also known as the Moroccan News Agency, signed on behalf of his agency.
Ali said the cooperation agreement was primarily for the exchange of news, pictures, audio, video and infographics services provided by each party for use of the other.
The deal also enjoined the two parties to respond as much as possible to each other’s requests concerning additional services not mentioned in the agreement.
The two agencies further agreed to provide the necessary assistance and support as far as possible to their envoys and correspondents in Morocco and Nigeria to carry out their missions.
The two parties also agreed to exchange visits and expertise in the areas of journalism as well as in technical and administration spheres. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
