Kosofe LG begins free tutorial for UTME candidates

The Kosofe Local Government in Lagos State has begun free tutorial for 500 students preparing for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) under its ‘Kosofe Edu-Support’ initiative.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that classes are scheduled to hold daily from 3.00 p.m to 6.00 p.m.
Mr Oluwole Obisanya, the Chief Press Secretary to the council chairman, Mr Moyosore Ogunlewe, disclosed this to NAN on Monday.
Obisanya said that the development was aimed at enhancing the academic excellence of the beneficiaries.
He said: “The free classes for our beneficiaries has commenced today and I hope that all will turn out to take the advantage.
“This is to encourage the youth and others in our community that we are not just giving them the forms but also ensuring that they do well in the examination.
Obisanya advised the beneficiaries to take advantage of the opportunity.
According to him, the initiative is part of the council’s efforts to supporting the educational development of students in the area.
“The Kosofe Edu-Support Initiative is a flagship programme of the Moyosore Ogunlewe administration.”
He noted that the initiative has been commended by stakeholders for its impact on the educational development of students in the local government area.
