NSF: 24 states competing in golf – Runsewe

The President of Nigeria Golf Federation, Segun Runsewe, has revealed that 24 states converged in Abeokuta Golf Club to participate in the ongoing National Sports Festival.
Runsewe spoke during a technical meeting with the Coaches and officials of the games across the country, in Abeokuta Golf Club.
He assured that standard integrity and ethics of the game would continue to be protected and followed dearly throughout the festival.
Runsewe stated that indiscipline would not be tolerated at any level during the championship.
Runsewe, represented by Nigeria Golf Technical Director, Mr Olajide Bolaji, commended the state government for the level of preparedness for the festival.
Also speaking, the Chairman, Ogun Golf Association, Adewunmi Adefolu, assured that the athletes would perform well at the festival by bringing gold medals to the state, with the level of preparation and orientation given to them.
He applauded the state government for hosting the game that had brought lots of opportunities to the athletes in the state, particularly the construction of access road to the Abeokuta Golf. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
