Chief Elvis Agukwe, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his magnanimity and statesmanship.
Agukwe said this when he spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Friday while commenting on the visit of the President to Imo.
He said that the President displayed unequal love and statesmanship during his visit to the state.
The APC chieftain who lauded Buhari and Gov. Hope Uzodinma, said that the visit would attract more projects to the state.
“I salute the President and the governor who hosted him. It was a wonderful event and it was so successful,” he said.
Agukwe urged Nigerian politicians in Imo to close ranks and de-emphasise politics of division by focusing on good governance.
He cautioned them against destructive criticism against the government without empirical facts.
“Our people should move on . Avoid sentiments and allow your leaders to direct events and concentrate on human development.”
He however, called on Imo people and Nigerians to continue to support the APC led administrations at both state and federal levels.
