Pastor Timothy Bakare, the Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Ibukun Zonal headquarters, has called on Christians to surrender themselves to God and emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ in their daily lives.
Bakare made the call in his sermon at the last Sunday Service of the year at the Church Auditorium in Ile-Ife, Osun.
The cleric urged Nigerians to emulate the life of Christ in all their deeds.
Bakare said: “He loved, cared and endured during His early ministry.
He also urged Christians to prepare for the second coming of Jesus Christ.
“Jesus Christ is coming very soon; release everything in you to God, including your heart so as not to be found wanting on the last day.
“If anyone is in Christ, old things have passed away, behold they become new.
“If anyone wants to have eternal life, he or she must exhibit the virtues of forgiveness and love,’’ he said.
Bakare also urged Christians to sacrifice their lives and property for the service of God.
“There are still many Christians withholding their lives and property from God,” he said.
According to him, Christ gave all He had for the remission of sins of the whole world without holding anything back. (NAN)
