Igbinedion University appoints Stanel Group’s CEO governing council member

Igbinedion University Okada has appointed, Mr Stanley Uzochukwu, the Chief Executive Officer of Stanel Group as a member of the Governing Council of the institution.

Igbinedion University Okada has appointed, Dr Stanley Uzochukwu, the Chief Executive Officer of Stanel Group as a member of the Governing Council of the institution.

In a letter of appointment issued to Dr Uzochukwu and made available to our correspondent in Abuja on Friday, the Stanel Group’s CEO is to serve on the board for three years.

The letter signed by the Chancellor and Chairman of the Board, Dr Gabriel Igbinedion, said that Uzochukwu was appointed in recognition of his outstanding contribution to human capacity development.

The letter reads in part, “In accordance with the Law establishing Igbinedion University, Okada, I have the pleasure to appoint you as Member, Governing Council, Igbinedion University, Okada.

“The appointment is for a period of three years with effect from June 24, 2021.

“This appointment is in recognition of your sterling qualities and outstanding contribution to human capacity development and management.

“I have no doubt that, given your wealth of experience, the University will move to greater heights with you as a member of our Governing Council.”

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Uzochukwu has also previously been recognised a number of times for his contribution to human capacity development.

Mr Uzochuku is the mastermind behind the youth empowerment programme in the South East tagged “Access More With Stanel”, a programme which is said to have impacted no fewer than 20,000 youths.

He is currently serving as the youngest Board Member of Golden Tulip West Africa Limited among others.

He is a recipient of the 2007 African Achievers Award, hosted by the British Labour Party in the United Kingdom. (NAN)
