Nigeria’s Ayeku emerges CSIA president

Immediate Past President of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, (ICSAN), Mr Bode Ayeku, has been elected President of the Corporate Secretaries International Association (CSIA) for 2022.

Mrs Taiwo Olusesi, Registrar, ICSAN, disclosed the development in a statement on Wednesday in Lagos.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the CSIA is the global body for practice of professional secretaryship.

According to him, the CSIA council also elected Nagendra Rao as Vice-President, Siew Chuan Chua as Secretary, and Karyn Southgate as Treasurer for the coming year.

Bode Ayeku, formerly CSIA Vice- President, is Fellow of ICSAN and Nigerian Institute of Management, as well as an Associate of both the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers.

“He is a member of the Governing Council of the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) and Chairman of the Committee of Legal Advisers and Company Secretaries of NECA.

“ICSAN is a professional body dedicated to excellence in corporate governance and public  administration and a member of CSIA,” the registrar said.

Currently based in Hong Kong, CSIA was established in Geneva, Switzerland in 2010 and launched at the World Bank headquarters in Paris under the auspices of the International Finance Corporation and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. (NAN)
