Team Kaduna on Thursday won their first gold medal at the ongoing 20th National Sports Festival (NSF) in Benin.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the state won the medal in cricket when they defeated the host team in the male category of the T20 event.
The state defeated Edo by six wickets.
Earlier, Kwara beat Lagos by two wickets to clinch the bronze medal in the third-place match of the T20 male event.
NAN reports that, having concluded the six-a-side and T20 events in cricket, the ODI event is scheduled to commence on Friday.
Team Edo have won three gold medals and have now lost one to Kaduna in the cricket events so far concluded.(NAN)
