Misconduct

Two women: Mrs Aishat Akinola, 44 and Mrs Modupe Adeoluwa, 47, were on Thursday, arraigned before a Mapo Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, over an alleged misconduct.
The duo, who are neighbours, were charged with conduct likely to cause the breach of peace, but they pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Insp. Seye Akinola, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on March 25, at noon around Oje area of Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
Akinola alleged that the defendants were fighting, shouting at each other and causing nuisance in the public area.
He said that the duo were also alleging each other of child kidnapping, while disturbing the peace of the people in the neighborhood.
He said the offence contravened Section 249(d) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Victoria Olorioke, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N500,000 each and two sureties each in like sum.
She adjourned the case until April 23, for hearing. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
