Expert seeks introduction of “Tech-Clarity” in school curriculum

A Software Engineer, Mr Peter Ayeni, has called for the introduction of “Tech-Clarity” into the nation’s school curriculum.
Ayeni, a UK-based Senior Software Engineer in one of the leading UK companies, made the call while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
NAN reports that Tech clarity focuses on how software technology and IT services are being used to drive operational improvement and business value.
Ayeni said the integration of the platform in the school curriculum would enable students to understand the opportunities in the tech field at an early stage.
He said tech roles had continued to be in high demand, adding that they offered attractive opportunities for problem-solving, innovation, and high earning potential.
He said if integrated in the school curriculum, it was capable of helping to shape students in the area of empowerment with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate a transition into a tech career
He added that in the area of education it would help to increase understanding of variety and scope roles available within the tech sector and the skill required to succeed in such roles.
The software engineer said it would also provide guidance to effectively navigate the job market, frin crafting compelling tech-focused resuming and salary negotiation.
“The knowledge also boost employability and contribute to efforts to reduce unemployment by helping individuals transition into a growing and high demand sector.
He transitioning into a tech career could be daunting, especially for those without a background in the field, adding that introducing it early would help solve such challenge.
He said with the integration of tech clarity it would help provide a comprehensive resource that would help individuals to make an informed decisions.
He further said it would also help to equip them with the necessary skills and tools, and successfully transition into a rewarding tech career.
He said the idea behind tech clarity was rooted in recognising the rapidly growing importance and influence of technology in every sector of the economy.
Ayeni said he would be willing to work with the government to integrate it into the curriculum of schools including universities, and vocational training centres.(NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
