Cross River to boost airline with 3 new planes- Governor

In a recent development, Governor Bassey Otu has revealed that preparations are underway to support the state-owned airline, Cally Air, with three additional planes.
The announcement came during the inauguration of a Boeing 737 – 5N BYR Plane in Calabar, bringing the total aircraft in Cally Air’s fleet to two.
The governor emphasised the importance of seamless air service during the upcoming Calabar carnival and mentioned plans for the new planes to operate flights from Abuja and Lagos to Calabar.
The move aims to accommodate the influx of visitors during the 32-day festival, starting December 1.
Governor Otu expressed gratitude to aviation authorities for facilitating extended flight hours and highlighted ongoing efforts to upgrade the airport’s functionality.
He encouraged investors to consider Cally Aero as a travel option, underscoring the partnership with Aero Contractors for the airline’s continued growth and success. (NAN) www.nannews.ng
