The Controller of the command, Dalha Chedi, shared these details during a press conference in Kaduna.
The seized items also included foreign secondhand clothing, shoes, frozen poultry products, pomade, condensed milk, petrol, foreign used tyres, foreign tobacco (Hookah), foreign cigarettes, medicament, milky creamer, Ammonium Sulphate, expired seasoning, and foreign flour.
Chedi emphasised the commitment of the command to combat smuggling and other anti-economic activities, reassuring the public of continuous improvement in strategies.
In spite of the closure of land borders with Niger Republic, the controller urged compliance with directives from the Federal Government.
He warned potential wrongdoers, especially during the festive season, stating that the unit’s vigilant personnel would enforce the Nigeria Customs Service Act 2023 and Standard Operating Procedures.
