Niger Delta Minister bags engineering fellowship

At the Annual National Conference of the Nigerian Society of Engineers in Abuja, the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Abubakar Momoh, was bestowed with the esteemed Award of Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE).
The recognition was granted in appreciation of Momoh’s outstanding achievements, marked by his substantial contributions to the fields of Engineering and Administration in Nigeria.
Holding a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Momoh expressed gratitude for the honor, attributing it to his wealth of experience and his dedicated efforts in advancing the engineering landscape in the country.
He sees the award as a validation of his past contributions and a motivation to continue making impactful strides, especially in his current role within the Ministry of Niger Delta Development.
During his remarks, Momoh highlighted the collaborative efforts between the ministry and the Nigerian Society of Engineers to address climate change in the Niger Delta region.
He emphasised the expectation of excellence in project execution, stating, “As an engineer, I expect those handling our projects at the ministry to give us the best because that’s what the people of Niger Delta and Nigerians deserve.”
Former House of Representatives member, Rep. Abdul Oroh, commended Momoh as a “great manager, leader, politician, thorough professional, and a dependable person.”
Another former House member, Rep. Patrick Ikhariale, praised the minister’s competence in the engineering profession, describing him as “pragmatic, strategic, and focused” in all his endeavors. (NAN) www.nannews.ng
