Edo 2024: Onaiwu promises to establish PDP Trust Fund
By Patricia Amogu
As aspirants jostle for political party tickets to contest the Edo governorship seat, Dr Earl Onaiwu, a Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) aspirant, says he will make the welfare of PDP members a priority.
“I will make the welfare of PDP members a priority. I plan to do this by establishing a Trust Fund for the PDP,” Onaiwu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Abuja.
“In line with this vision, the establishment of a PDP Trust Fund, which is a pivotal initiative, aims at ensuring the well-being of the party and its members.
“Drawing from my extensive experience as a dedicated party mobilizer, I understand the significance of addressing the inherent challenges faced by political parties that serve as platforms for elected officials to serve the public.
“But, beyond partisan politics, I look forward to impacting the lives of Edo people irrespective of their party or religious affiliations.
“This approach underscores my dedication to serving as a true patriot and party man, setting me apart from those who merely exploit political vehicles for personal gain.
“Central to my manifesto is the integration of party members into the fabric of governmental operations.
“I envision a collaborative approach where the contributions of party faithful will play a fundamental role in shaping the policies and programmes of the incoming government.
“My administration will deliver expedited, world-class human and capital development to the people with a strong focus on working in tandem with loyal party members to fortify the party’s growth and rejuvenate its standing in the political landscape.
“We also intend to uphold the dignity of the party and provide exemplary service to the people,” he said. (NAN)
