School of Statistics matriculates 407 students for 2023/2024 session

The Federal School of Statistics, Manchok, Kaduna State, has matriculated 407 students for its 2023/2024 academic session.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the students were admitted to study Statistics, Computer Science, Business Administration and Management, Health Information Technology, Accounting and Public Administration.
Acting Rector of the school, Mr Jumbo Daniel, told the students to focus on their studies and not lose sight of their objective in the school.
“You are advised and encouraged to be of good conduct and to take your studies seriously and to avoid offences that will stop you from graduating and becoming ambassadors of the school,’’ he said.
Daniel reiterated the school’s commitment to providing high standard education for the development of the individual and of the country.
In his remarks, Prince Adeyemi Adeniran, Statistician-General of the Federation, noted that Nigeria counted on the students to become the best version of themselves and make an impact on society.
Represented by Mrs Sarah Bulus, an official of the Office of the Statistician-General of the Federation, Adeniran urged the students to uphold academic excellence, integrity and respect for diversity.
He also enjoined them to use their time on campus to discover their passion and lay the foundation for a future filled with purpose.
“Today marks the beginning of a journey that holds the promise of growth, discovery and accomplishment.
“As you step into this institution, you are not just joining a school; you are becoming part of a family committed to nurturing intellect, fostering creativity and instilling values that will guide you through life’s journey.
“The path ahead will undoubtedly present challenges, but it is through challenges that we find our true strength.
“In your pursuit for knowledge, remember that education is not just about acquiring facts but about developing critical thinking, empathy and a passion for lifelong learning.
“As you interact with your peers, engage with your lecturers and immerse yourselves in the wealth of knowledge available; seek every opportunity to grow, not just academically but as individuals,’’ he said.
NAN reports that the Federal School of Statistics, awards National Diploma, Professional Diploma and Higher National Diploma across its six disciplines. (NAN)
