The lawmaker emphasised the imperatives of developing the zone with the potentials of the zone.

“We have one of the greatest talented young people in Nigeria.

“We shall engage them positively for the greater good of the South East,” he told NAN.

Umeha affirmed the determination of the commission to improve on the zone’s transportation system with railways cutting across the whole five states.

The lawmaker who commended President Bola Tinubu for giving the South East enabling ground for development, said they would not fail in developing the zone.

Umeha also said that the commission would go a long way in mitigating unrest and agitations through job creation.

According to him, what fuels this unrest most times is lack of job.
