Akpabio commends Lado for strengthening Executive-Legislative relations

The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has praised Sen. Basheer Lado for redefining the role of Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters.
He stated that, for the first time in years, the office is fully meeting expectations.
Speaking on Friday during a visit to the Special Adviser’s office, Akpabio described the visit as a key step in strengthening Executive-Legislative relations.
Accompanied by distinguished senators, he commended Lado and his team for ensuring a seamless flow of information between the Presidency and the Senate.
He said that the office is now more result-oriented, making governance more effective.
Akpabio also acknowledged its diligent efforts in tracking all bills passed by the Senate and signed into law by the President.
He highlighted the office’s critical role in enhancing legislative efficiency and governance.
Expressing his satisfaction, he said the Senate delegation was proud of the office’s achievements.
“We look forward to sustaining the existing cordial and productive relationship between the Executive and the Legislature throughout this administration,” he stated.
In recognition of his leadership, Lado presented an Award of Excellence to Akpabio.
In his remarks, Lado reaffirmed his commitment to fostering a strong working relationship between both arms of government.
He praised Akpabio’s dedication to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, defending it with clarity and advancing it through legislative action. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
