A cleric, Pastor Bobai Tanko, has urged Christians to use the Easter period to reflect on the grace of God in their lives.

Tanko, the Assistant Pastor of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) English Service, Sabon Tasha, Kaduna, made the call during the church service on Sunday.

He said the resurrection of Jesus Christ symbolised victory over sin and death, as well as the redemption of Christians, which should inspire them to live according to His instructions.

“The grace of God has been made sufficient through His resurrection, and it should not be taken for granted,” he said.

According to him, the death and resurrection of Christ should transform Christians into better individuals in the society.

“The grace of God should make you humble and lead you to live a purposeful life. Easter is a period of reflection on the sacrifices Christ made.

“We are here not because of who we are, our education, or the tithes we have, but because of the grace of God,” he said.

Tanko urged Christians to use the Easter period to thank God for His mercies, including those that may seem insignificant.

“Some people had only headaches and didn’t survive, while others have cancer and are still alive. Some underwent minor surgeries and passed away, while others survived major surgeries,” he said. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
