The Cross River Government says it has concluded plans to commence the reconstruction of the Obudu Ranch to solidify the state’s prime position in Nigeria’s tourism industry.
Mr Sunday Michael, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Obudu Ranch Resort, made the disclosure in an interview with newsmen in Calabar on Thursday.
Michael said that a redesigned model of the ranch had been concluded for reconstruction work to begin.
“The essence of the project is to revitalise and reposition the resort, it is to make it a premier destination for eco-tourism.
“The redesigned Obudu Ranch Resort promises to offer world-class facilities and amenities to boost eco-tourism.
“It will showcase the natural beauty and rich cultural heritage of Cross River. The project will create jobs, stimulate economic growth and increase revenue,” he said.
The governor’s aide said that the reconstruction project was a testament to Gov. Bassey Otu’s commitment to developing the tourism sector. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
