Buhari made his mark while serving Nigeria – Makinde

Gov. Seyi Makinde has mourned former President Muhamadu Buhari saying the ex- president made his mark during his tenure.
This is contained in a statement issued on Sunday in Ibadan by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Dr Suleimon Olanrewaju.
Makinde, who described the death of the Nigeria’s immediate past president as “unexpected”, expressed his condolences to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen. Bola Tinubu.
He equally commiserated with the wife of the former president, Hajia Aisha Buhari and his entire family, praying to God to grant repose to his soul.
He also prayed that God should grant the former Military Head of State Aljanah Firdaus.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the former President died on Sunday in a London hospital.
Former President Buhari was twice elected Nigeria’s president in 2015 and 2023.
He also served as a military head of state between January 1984 and August 1985. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
