Gashua varsity invents 2000W solar generator

The Federal University Gashua in Yobe has invented a 2000W capacity solar-powered generator.
This is contained in a statement on Wednesday in Damaturu by the University’s Head, Information and Public Relations, Alh. Adamu Saleh.
He said the device was manufactured by the Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Office (IPTTO) of the institution.
According to him, the battery capacity is 75Amps, charge controller, 20Amps, panel 200W and load, 450W.
Saleh said the Vice Chancellor of the Institution, Prof. Maimuna Waziri, broke the news at sensitisation and awareness campaign on the activities of IPTTO on Wednesday.
The official said Waziri, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Mohammed Yakubu, described the invention as a milestone that would significantly contribute to the technological advancement of the institution.
He commended the IPTTO team for its creativity and commitment, noting that the achievement is not only a pride to the university, but also the state and the country at large.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
