Real Estate mogul commends IGP Egbetokun over Police Reforms

A real estate mogul,The Chief Executive Officer, Dr Rebecca Godwin-Isaac, has commended the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, for the reforms and transformative leadership in the Nigeria Police Force.
Godwin-Isaac said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), while commenting on the IGP’s 61st birthday marked on Thursday in Abuja.
She congratulated Egbetekun, for his courage, innovation and unprecedented achievements in restoring sanity and significantly reducing crime across the country.
“IGP Egbetokun has redefined what it means to lead the Police Force by not only repositioning the institution for operational excellence but also rebuilt public trust in the police.
“His reforms have given Nigerians renewed hope that the Police can truly be the people’s force,” she said.
She highlighted his bold initiatives such as the adoption of modern technology, the introduction of intelligence-led policing, and the strengthening of reward systems that now recognize officers for gallantry, professionalism, and integrity.
According to her, the Nigeria Police Awards and Commendation Ceremony remain a groundbreaking initiative under his watch, institutionalising meritocracy within the Force.
Godwin-Isaac also commended the establishment of the Special Intervention Squad, the rehabilitation of police barracks and the commissioning of new facilities, including the Nigeria Police Resource Centre in Jabi, Abuja.
She said that Egbetokun’s leadership style was deeply anchored in integrity, discipline and service, adding that his emphasis on community policing has fostered stronger collaboration between law enforcement and communities nationwide.
She that the IGP has shown true leadership through responsibility and accountability, stressing that his words have been matched with actions.
Godwin-Isaac added that integrity was not negotiable in ensuring a sustainable foundation for policing.
According to her, these are not just words, they are principles he has brought to life through his policies, reforms and day-to-day leadership.
She said that Nigeria was now safer and stronger because of IGP Egbetokun’s uncommon vision and reforms.
