Chief Emeka Obegolu, President, Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), says Abuja International Trade Fair (AITF) has fostered strong collaborations with more than 40 diplomatic missions, trade promotion agencies and investors.
Obegolu disclosed this while declaring the 20th Abuja International Trade Fair (AITF) open on Thursday.
He said that the theme of the AITF tagged, “Sustainability: Consumption, Incentives, and Taxation”, was apt.
He added that the theme underlines the chamber’s commitment to advancing economic growth in a way that aligns with innovation, responsible production and environmental stewardship.
“We are especially proud of the growing visibility this platform has given to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
“The platform has also created opportunities that have driven Business-to-Business, (B2B), Business-to-Government (B2G) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) engagements.
“It has as well offered strong collaborations which has fostered more than 40 diplomatic missions and trade promotion agencies,’’ he said.
Obegolu said that the AITF was particularly significant, not only because of its 20 years of continuous impact, but it reflects how much bigger, better and more vibrant the fair has become.
He said that the fair has provided a platform to showcase products and services, expand into new and untapped markets, forge valuable business partnerships and keep pace with emerging global trends.
According to him, over the last 20 years, the fair has remained committed to connecting businesses with rewarding opportunities, driving trade and investment and fostering innovation.
“I enjoin all exhibitors, visitors, shoppers and stakeholders to take full advantage of the opportunities available over the next 12 days.
“Explore the exhibition halls, engage with partners and let this fair open new doors for business growth and collaboration.
“Together, let us make this edition not only a celebration of 20 years of excellence, but also a launchpad for the future of trade and investment in Nigeria and beyond,’’ he said.
Prof. Adesoji Adesugba, first Deputy President of the ACCI, said that the fair was a place where people can showcase their products, as well as connecting with potential customers and suppliers.
“This fair is a place where you can promote your business by showcasing products, meeting potential customers and suppliers.
“You can as well network with industry leaders, policymakers, and investors to foster partnerships and access new markets.’’ (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
