The Nigerian Union South Africa on Wednesday paid tributes to Mr Johnson Adamu, the new Special Adviser on Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation in Edo.

NUSA, the apex body of Nigerians in South Africa, in a statement described Adamu’s appointment as well deserved.

The statement was signed by the President General of NUSA, Mr Smart Nwobi, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.

It said Adamu had consistently exemplified the highest ideals of service, empathy, integrity and astute leadership.

” You have demonstrated through your selfless and tireless efforts that leadership is not about position but about service to humanity,” the statement said.

It expressed confidence in Adamu’s unwavering passion and dedication to service, saying these qualities would add immense value to Gov. Monday Okpebholo’s administration.

” You have the capacity to drive policies that will impact lives, promote meaningful social development in Edo State in particular and Nigeria at large,” it said.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
