Musa Nimrod, President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), has congratulated the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Women’s Volleyball Team following their victory at the just concluded 2025 Super Volleyball Championship in Accra, Ghana.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Nigeria Customs Service defeated the Ghana Air Force 3-0 (25–20, 25–23, 25–14) at the Borteyman Sports Complex in Accra, on Sunday night.

In his congratulatory message on Monday, Nimrod praised the players, coaching crew, and management of the Nigeria Customs Service for their dedication, discipline, and consistency.

He said that the triumph reflects the growing strength of Nigerian volleyball and serves as inspiration for other clubs in the country.

“The entire volleyball community in Nigeria is extremely proud of the Nigeria Customs Service volleyball team.

“Their determination and exceptional display in Accra show the quality of talent Nigeria possesses.

“This victory is not just for Customs, but for the entire Nigerian volleyball family. It demonstrates what can be achieved with proper support, teamwork, and hard work,” he said.

The NVBF president also commended the leadership of the Nigeria Customs Service for their continued investment in sports development, particularly in volleyball, where the service has produced several national team players over the years.

“I want to commend the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, CGC Adewale Adeniyi, for his enormous contributions to the growth of volleyball in Nigeria.

“The CGC is currently the sponsor of the Nigeria Volleyball Premier League, and you can see that the league has produced a team capable of ruling Africa in no time,” he said.

He urged the Nigeria Customs women’s team to maintain their winning momentum and continue representing the nation with pride. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
