The 13th GMYT African Humanitarian Award (GAH) Award and Business Summit will bring together over 1,000 leaders, innovators, investors and policymakers from across Africa and the global diaspora.
The Convener and Executive Chair, Dr Princess Kelechi Oghene, said this at a news conference on Monday in Lagos.
Oghene said the summit would unite “leaders whose work continues to shape governance, business, advocacy and social progress across the continent.”
She said the GAHAwards and Business Summit, with the theme: “Africa Reimagined: Innovation, Inclusion and Sustainable Growth”, would take place at Eko Hotels & Suites on Dec. 12.
According to her, the theme sets the stage for a continental dialogue on scalable African solutions across business, technology, governance, creative industries and social impact.
She said the platform would host influential voices across public service, aviation, human rights, development, law, finance, entrepreneurship and the creative sectors.
Oghene said the press conference outlines the summit’s economic, social and policy relevance.
She added that the event provides opportunities for partners, institutions and brands to align with long-term development goals and collaborative progress.
“The GAH platform has grown into “a powerful ecosystem connecting leaders across governance, media, fashion, sports, real estate and creative industries,” she said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the event aligns with AfCFTA, AU Agenda 2063 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals 8, 9 and 17.
A key highlight of the conference was the unveiling of the GAH Elite Club Black Card, powered by Mastercard and Wema Bank.
The card offers global financial and hospitality privileges and grants complimentary access to all GAH flagship events.
It also connects members to the chief executive officers, policymakers, entrepreneurs and innovators, serving as a gateway to influence, visibility and strategic opportunity.
NAN reports that this edition will feature several distinguished dignitaries and speakers.
They include the Chairman/Group Managing Director, Cornfield Group, Dr Babatope Agbeyo and the Grand Patron His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife.
Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi, the General Overseer, Love of Christ Generation Church, will serve as Chairlady.
Other speakers include Gov. Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State and Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo(SAN), among others.
Since 2012, the platform has honoured more than 350 Africans across 12 editions.
It has hosted over 20,000 delegates and generated more than ₦700 million in media value.
This year’s edition will feature leadership dialogues, exhibitions, high-level panels and industry recognitions.(NAN)
