The House on the Rock Church has given assurance of adequate security during its flagship programme, The Experience, billed to take place on Friday night.
The Team Lead of the event’s organising committee, Mr Adebola Olomo, gave the assurance in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
NAN reports that the annual all-night gospel music concert is in its 20th year.
It will take place as usual at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, with the theme: “Jesus United”.
Olomo said that security of lives and property during the event would be a priority of the committee and it had done much to ensure adequate security.
“Safety is one of our highest priorities.
“We are working closely with state and federal security agencies and emergency responders alongside other security teams and medical responders to ensure a safe, well-managed environment inside and around Tafawa Balewa Square.
“From controlled entry and visible security presence to on-site medical support and coordinated traffic management, every layer has been carefully planned so you can focus on what truly matters — worshipping Jesus with peace of mind,” he said.
NAN reports that the concert provides worshippers with songs of praise and worship from renowned gospel artistes.
The Convener and Senior Pastor of House on the Rock, Paul Adefarasin, had said that the 20th edition would unite Nigerians.
Adefarasin said that the concert, expected to have thousands of people in attendance, will feature songs from Travis Greene, Chevelle Franklyn, Onos Ariyo, Beejay Sax and Muyiwa Olarewaju, among others.
The others include Israel Houghton, Dunsin Oyekan, Mike Aremu, Mercy Chinwo, Naomi Raine, Chandler Moore, Adeyinka Alaseyori, Sinach, Frank Edwards and Lagos Metropolitan Gospel Choir.
Tolu Odukoya and Gaise Baba will be appearing for the first time. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
