Dr Yusuf Yakub, the Director-General (D-G) of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), has expressed optimism for economic advancement in 2026, while felicitating with Nigerians on the celebrations of Christmas and New Year.
Yakub made this known on Wednesday in a statement signed by Nkem Anyata-Lafia, his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity.
He congratulated Nigerians on the event of this year’s Christmas and the New Year celebrations, saying the blessings of God have been evident on the nation.
According to the him, the year 2025 is concluding on very glorious notes for Nigeria and Nigerians.
The NTAC-D-G used the opportunity to sue for closer unity and all-encompassing love among the citizenry.
He said that this would make things work even better in the coming year, advising Nigerians to imbibe the deepest feelings of good neighbourliness.
He urged them to ensure that the joy of the season of Christmas and the New Year celebrations spread abroad through the acts of sharing of gifts and friendship in spite of whatever differences we may retain in creed or tongue.
“It is when the greater percentage of the people in the land that are celebrating exhibit the we-feelings of love, camaraderie and oneness that the entire country becomes a huge carnival of celebration and conviviality.
“When this happens, Nigeria cannot but remain peaceful, united and rise above all the existing or imaginary minor threats to security,” he said.

He used the occasion to call for continuous support and prayers for President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima as well as the Leaders of the Legislature and the state governors. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
