The City Boy Movement, a political support group, has formally approved and ratified the appointment of its State and Diaspora Directors, marking a significant step ahead of the 2027 elections.
The approvals, announced by Director-General Mr Francis Shoga in Abuja on Saturday, aim to strengthen grassroots organisation, improve internal coordination, enhance youth mobilisation, and promote disciplined political engagement across Nigeria and the diaspora.
Shoga said the appointments followed extensive consultations, harmonisation, and internal review processes, reflecting the Movement’s commitment to structured leadership, unity, and effective governance at all levels across the country and abroad.
“The newly approved directors will play a critical role in positioning the Movement for greater organisational strength and political impact ahead of the 2027 polls,” he said in the statement.
The approved Directors include Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala (Oyo), Dr Musa Mohammed (Nasarawa), Moyosore Ogunlewe (Lagos), Tiza Isaac Orya (Benue), Nwaneri Chidera (Imo), Paddy Iyamu (Edo), Bitrus Garki (FCT), and David Daser (Plateau).
Others are Baba Rauf Abdulrazaq (Kwara), Akintunde Oludayo (Diaspora), Sulaiman Ribadu (SAN) (Adamawa), Victor Thompson (Akwa Ibom), Dr Bala Wunti (Bauchi), Gorou Karo (Delta), Ogah Mark (Kogi), and Ayodele Olawande (Ondo).
The remaining Directors include Ayorinde Ejioye (Ekiti), Haruna Aliyu (Jigawa), Mutawalle Barko (Yobe), Kamarudeen Yusuf (Ogun), Babagana Bukar (Borno), and Yusuf Ata (Kano). Appointments for other states will be announced later. (NAN)
