City Boy Builds Nigeria (CBN), Kwara Central Chapter, has endorsed the senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District, Sen. Lola Ashiru as its Kwara Governorship Aspirant in 2027.
In a communique by the Joint Consultative Assembly in Ilorin, the assembly expressed confidence in Ashiru’s leadership and progressive style.
Bashir Alabi Erubu, who spoke on behalf of the group, said the endorsement came on the heels of a wider consultation with stakeholders across the four local government areas that made up the Kwara Central Senatorial District.
He said the group unanimously endorsed Ashiru as a credible, experienced and unifying progressive leader capable of leading Kwara to a higher level of development.
“Sen. Ashiru’s political maturity, consistency, legislative competence, loyalty to progressive ideals and proven bridge-building capacity clearly distinguishes him as the right leader to consolidate existing gains.
“The assembly expressed strong confidence in his ability to effectively domesticate and advance the Renewed Hope Agenda in Kwara for the benefit of all.
“We call on all progressives, youths, stakeholders across Kwara Central and beyond to close ranks behind principled leadership, clear values and a shared vision for development.
“The future of Kwara must be deliberately built, not left to chance,” he said.
The assembly said it observed that Kwara now requires leadership capable of delivering deeper inclusiveness, strategic development and long-term political and economic stability.
It further commended the efforts of Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq particularly in areas that have sustained the progressive governance tradition in Kwara.
CBN Mobiliser, Mr Hammed Bolaji, said Sen. Ashiru’s record of service gives them confidence in the journey ahead to lead Kwara aright.
Bolaji said Sen. Ashiru as a choice was born out of the fact that he has always been a progressive minded person who has the interest of the people at heart.
