Lagos council boss sensitises market leaders on APC e-registration

Lagos, Jan. 20, 2026 (NAN) Mr Jubril Emilagba, Chairman, Lagos Mainland Local Government, on Tuesday engaged White Sand Market leaders to sensitise them on the APC e-registration exercise.
The stakeholders’ meeting, held at the market, sought to boost grassroots participation and address concerns raised by traders over the ongoing registration process.
Emilagba described the exercise as a unifying platform to strengthen party structures and enhance members’ sense of belonging within the APC.
“This registration exercise is designed to bring everyone together and ensure every member is properly captured and recognised within the party.
“I want market men and women to see this as an opportunity to be part of the party’s future and decision-making process,” Emilagba said.
He assured traders that measures were in place to ensure the exercise was convenient and accessible for market participants.
“To avoid disrupting trading activities, a standby APC e-registration desk will be available here from tomorrow.
“This will enable traders to register without leaving their shops or losing income,” he said.
Responding, Mrs Kudirat Lawal, Chairman, White Sand Market Association, thanked Emilagba for engaging the market leadership directly.
“We are grateful for this interaction and for bringing the registration exercise closer to us.
“This shows the chairman values grassroots participation and the welfare of market traders,” she said.
