“Skillers League – The Builders Reality Show” has unveiled a new season of its construction competition series, with the theme, “The Rise of the Artisan”.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Pan-African reality series brings together national teams of skilled builders to compete in high-pressure construction challenges centered on craftsmanship, teamwork, and speed.
Designed as Africa’s first league-format construction competition, the show blends sport, storytelling, and national pride within a structured, competitive format.
Teams representing African countries battle for the title of Africa’s Skills Champion, placing skilled trades at the heart of mainstream entertainment.
The new season builds on the success of the debut edition featuring teams from Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, and Benin Republic.
The first season aired on DSTV, GOtv, and StarTimes, with global distribution across over 50 platforms.
It was screened in cities including Lagos, Berlin, London, Kenya, Botswana, and several locations in the United States.
The series also earned a nomination for Best Unscripted Series at the African Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
Team Togo currently holds the title of Defending African Skills Champions ahead of the new season.
According to its Executive Producer, Bright Jaja, Skillers League was created because the future of work is changing, and Africa must shape that future.
“As technology and artificial intelligence replace many jobs, skilled trades remain essential worldwide,” Jaja said.
He noted that Africa is uniquely positioned to address the global shortage of skilled workers.
“This show elevates craftsmanship and creates influencers who inspire pride and show young people that skill is the future of work,” he added.
The new season will feature eight African countries, each represented by elite construction professionals.
Trades include carpentry, plumbing, tiling, electrical work, welding, masonry, and architectural leadership.
Teams will advance through increasingly demanding rounds, with one country emerging as overall champion.
Produced by iCreate Africa and Blink Africa, the series is structured for broadcast, streaming, and commercial partnerships. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
