The President and Founder of Concerned Sisters Forum (CSF), Hajiya Binta Ibrahim, says women’s economic growth is key to over all development and prosperity of the country.
Ibrahim stated this at the disbursement of free interest loans to some members of the forum to boost their small and medium scale businesses.
This is contained in a statement issued by the forum’s image maker, Evelyn Onyilo, on Saturday in Abuja.
Ibrahim added that the loan was to support the women in making them financially independent.
“Women’s economic growth is key to national development and prosperity, because, when women are empowered, families, communities and nations prosper.
“The loans are in categories of one million naira and five hundred thousand given to nine beneficiaries as a pilot scheme,” she said.
Ibrahim gave assurance that more women would benefit in the next phase of the exercise.
She enjoined the beneficiaries to make sure they paid back the loans within nine months, so that others would benefit.
It may be recalled that the Concerned Sisters Forum was inaugurated in December 2025 with the aim of supporting women and making them participate actively in national development. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
