The Permanent Secretary, State House, Mr Temitope Fashedemi, says the State House recorded 99.99 per cent performance in its 2025 overhead budget.

Fashedemi said this on Wednesday while defending the 2025 budget performance and 2026 proposals before the Senate Committee on Special Duties at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja.

“I want to personally thank you all for the opportunity to assess the 2025 State House budget performance and defend the 2026 budget appropriation,” he said.

He expressed appreciation to the committee on behalf of President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima and the State House management.

Fashedemi said the State House budget covers seven cost centres, including the offices of the President and Vice-President, the Chief of Staff, Chief Security Officer, the Medical Centre, the Lagos Office and Operations Headquarters.

He said the overhead budget performance was commendable across the cost centres.

Fashedemi said, “For 2025 overhead, the sum of N21.348 billion was appropriated and practically all was released.

“We have 99.99 per cent performance over the 2025 overhead budget.”

He said the 2025 capital budget stood at about N46.9 billion.

Fashedemi said the State House had authority to incur expenditure of about 30 per cent on the capital allocation.

He, however, said that the State House had not been able to access any of the capital funds as of the time of the budget defence. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
