U.S. President Donald Trump says the second U.S. aircraft carrier strike group will soon depart for the Middle East.
“It’ll be leaving very shortly,” Trump told journalists on Friday when asked about reports that the USS Gerald R. Ford would be moved from the Caribbean to the Middle-East.
“In case we don’t make a deal (with Iran), we’ll need it.
“Will be leaving very soon.
”If we need it, we’ll have it ready,” Trump said.
The U.S. President also says he will pay an official visit to Venezuela on a yet-to-be-determined date.
“I’m going to make a visit to Venezuela … We haven’t decided (when),” he said.
On Ukraine, Trump urges President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to ‘get moving’ on a potential deal to end the war with Russia.
“Zelenskyy is going to have to get moving.
“Russia wants to make a deal …
“Otherwise, he’s going to miss a great opportunity,” Trump added.(NAN/AA)(www.nannews.ng)
