Victoria Al-Hassan, founder of the Vic Alu Initiative for Empowerment, will attempt to set a Guinness World Records title for the Longest Marathon Livestream.

Al-Hassan disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Abuja.

She described the initiative as a platform for amplifying women’s voices, strengthening leadership, and inspiring social change.

She said the record attempt, themed “The Woman: Her Voice, Her Power,” is scheduled for March 2, beginning at 8:00 a.m. WAT, and will be streamed live on YouTube via @VicAlu.

According to her, the marathon livestream will feature structured conversations, expert call-ins, and storytelling sessions designed to highlight women’s resilience and contributions to society, while adhering strictly to official record guidelines.

“My vision goes beyond breaking a record. It is about celebrating women’s strength, leadership, and impact in shaping communities,” she said, calling on women to participate and lend their voices to the initiative.

Al-Hassan noted that the Vic Alu Initiative has supported women across Nigeria through mentorship, skills development programmes, and advocacy aimed at unlocking their economic and social potential.

She added that the record attempt is intended to create a historic moment that showcases the influence and achievements of women while encouraging greater participation in nation-building. (NAN)
