Mr Chudi Ezirigwe, acting Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA) says the agency is repositioning to deliver quality services to the public.

Ezirigwe stated this at the opening of a two-week training facilitated by the German Agency for International Co-operation (GIZ), with the theme, “Trainer Facilitator and Coach”, in Abuja on Tuesday.

He explained that the agency was undergoing massive reformation in line with President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.

Ezirigwe said that the move became necessary to ensure the delivery of top-notch professional entrepreneurial development services.

This, according to him, will stimulate business growth in the nation’s capital city and beyond.

He stressed the need for the staff to redouble their commitment and dedication to offer friendly services to the people, adding that the agency was already expanding its frontiers and partnerships.

Ezirigwe commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mr Nyesom Wike and the FCT Minister of State, Dr Mariya Mahmoud, for supporting the agency to succeed.

In his remarks, the Rector of Kaduna Business School, Dr Dahiru Sani, commended the agency for deepening the FCT’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Sani expressed confidence that AEA had the capacity to make Abuja the Silicon Valley of Nigeria.

According to him, entrepreneurship development is the only way out of the country’s unemployment and economic quagmire.

He, therefore, appealed to the government at all levels to support all efforts geared towards promoting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Earlier, Ms Olawaiye Oladoyin, Head of GIZ Component, Economic Education and Entrepreneurship, acknowledged the positive contributions of AEA in addressing the challenges associated with access to finance by most SMEs. (NAN)
