A group, Concerned Patriotic Movement of Nigeria, has called on Nigerians to be patient with the President Bola Tinubu’s administration as its reforms would take the country to greatness.

Mr Thaddeus Maiyanga, convener of the group, made the appeal during a Peace and Unity Walk in Keffi, Nasarawa State, to mark Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day anniversary.

He noted that the country had come a long way and was still growing strong “in spite of challenges”.

“It’s true that we, as a people, are not where we want to be, but we are also not where we used to be.

“The challenges are enormous but are not insurmountable. I strongly believe that with patience, we shall soon see light at the end of the tunnel,” he said.

Maiyanga commended Tinubu for the reforms initiated by the administration which, he said, would bring the country out of the woods and enhance development.

“We encourage President Tinubu not to be distracted by agents of distraction who do not mean well for Nigeria. Our support and prayers are with him. He’ll take the country to our desired destination,” he said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that the group that had about a thousand persons, began the walk from the FMC roundabout in the metropolis and terminated at the Palace of the Emir of Keffi.

They were adorned in white shirts and green caps with the inscription.
