The General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Nigeria and Overseas, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji, has encouraged President Bola Tinubu to use his midterm celebration as an opportunity to review the performance of his appointees.
He also advised that government agencies be assessed to further consolidate achievements.
Oladeji shared this advice in Abuja while commemorating the “Abuja City Mega Crusade” of the church.
He urged the president to assess the progress of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to identify areas for adjustment and improvement, expressing confidence in Tinubu’s ability to make a lasting impact before the end of his tenure.
“My advice to the president is to carefully review all ministries to see the progress made. I am confident that President Tinubu will leave a strong legacy.
“He governed Lagos State with great success, and as a Yoruba man, I believe he will do the same for Nigeria,” Oladeji said.
He further called on Nigerians to continue praying for the president’s success in leading the country to new heights.
“Let us keep praying for this administration. President Tinubu has good intentions for Nigeria, and we should pray that he remains focused on the purpose for which God placed him in leadership.
“It is also important that all appointees work diligently toward the goals of this administration. Those who fall short should be replaced to strengthen the government,” he added.
On the issues of unemployment and insecurity, Oladeji attributed the challenges to a growing population without a correspondingly productive workforce.
He encouraged more Nigerians, especially the youth, to embrace farming and called on the government to create more job opportunities and an enabling environment for agricultural production.
“Not everyone can be a governor, a legislator, or secure white-collar jobs, but anyone can venture into agribusiness.
“Government should empower people at the grassroots to engage in farming. This will enhance food security and help the nation thrive,” he stated.
Oladeji also emphasised the importance of training graduates in agricultural skills to reduce unemployment and promote self-reliance.
Asked about the church’s role in national development, Oladeji affirmed that the CAC remained committed to supporting the needy and contributing positively to society.
“Our mission is not to amass wealth but to care for those in need,” he said.
Speaking about the ongoing mega crusade at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium’s Velodrome, Oladeji stressed the urgent need for divine intervention in Nigeria’s current challenges.
“Nigeria needs God’s intervention now more than ever. Through prayer and righteous living, we believe God will bring breakthrough to the nation, its leaders, and its people, just as He promised in Jeremiah 33:3,” he said.
Oladeji prayed for God’s guidance and deliverance for Nigeria, recalling how the Israelites called on the Lord and were freed from long suffering.
Also speaking, Pastor Gabriel Aboderin, Regional Superintendent of Medaiyese Regional Headquarters in Abuja, acknowledged that while Nigeria might not have fully reached its potential, significant progress had been made under President Tinubu’s leadership.
“Though the administration has not met all expectations, credit is due for the impact already made.
“The president clearly communicated during his campaign that decisive actions would be taken, and he has followed through on many fronts,” Aboderin said.
He reminded Nigerians that the country was not alone in facing economic and security challenges and emphasised that Nigeria’s unity was a divine blessing.
Aboderin encouraged greater citizen involvement in national development efforts and highlighted the contributions of both religious communities in advancing the nation.
The general evangelist ended by praying for President Tinubu, his cabinet, all Nigerians, and the country as a whole, seeking divine intervention in the areas of security and national progress. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
