The Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) has urged business executives to embrace its 2025 golf tournament as a platform to deepen bilateral ties and expand business opportunities.
The Chairman NBCC Golf Committee, Tayo Babalakin, made the call at a news conference on Wednesday in Lagos.
Babalakin said the format for the golf tournament slated for Dec. 11 at the Ikoyi Golf Club, Lagos, was stableford.
He described golf as a golden choice because it is a calm, serene game; free from the usual tension business people were accustomed to.
Babalakin said the sport would bring together business leaders, investors, policymakers and other key stakeholders in trade and investment to strengthen relationships across Nigerian and British organisations.
According to him, the golf cup also serves as a social and networking platform aimed at enhancing business interactions among participants.
“Participation would help companies consolidate brand loyalty among a captive audience of distinguished professionals and provide an avenue to engage key customers and golfing staff,” he said.
The chamber listed Bi-Courtney Aviation Services as the headline sponsor, with Greenwich Merchant Bank, Weststar Associates Ltd., (Mercedes Benz), and MGE Realty Ltd., as gold sponsors, among others.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
