The Education Future Advancement Concept and Skills (EDUFACS) has restated its commitment to the nation’s development through the grassroots empowerment.

The Chairman of the group, Comrade Kareem Aderemi, said this during a news conference in Abuja on Monday.

Aderemi, who emphasised the imperatives of promoting local food protection, said it was achievable through agricultural innovation.

“We will bring at least 70 per cent of Nigerians into agricultural vocation in support of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda of guaranteeing food sovereignty.

“We are delivering a service based economy with a production based economy to catapult Nigeria’s economy to higher levels, ” he said.

The EDUFACS Chairman affirmed the determination of the group to ensure the promotion of local content in all projects.

According to him, EDUFACS encourages school children and students to participate in agriculture while the organisation pays their tuition.

He said the organisation would continue to imbue pride in the country through its agenda of proper utililisation of land for farming.

Aderemi said the group was committed to innovative agriculture which, he said, had the capacity to employ about 2.3 million Nigerians.

He said that a lot of Nigerians would be taught how to process goat milk which, according to him, is more healthy and nutritious than cow milk.

Aderemi, who reiterated the need for promotion of locally produced goods, said that 90 per cent of goods to be given to their beneficiaries were sourced locally.

The EDUFACS boss said the organisation would continue to add value to the Nigeria’s economy through the production and distribution of organic crops. (NAN)
