Christmas

The Director-General, Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC), Dr Jobson Ewalefoh, has urged Nigerians to embrace love, hope and a renewed sense of responsibility to national development as they celebrate Christmas.
Ewalefoh made the call in a Christmas message on Wednesday in Abuja.
He described the season as a reminder of values that bind Nigerians together, including love, compassion for the vulnerable and commitment to the common good.
He said that the values were critical at a time when collective effort and understanding were required to sustain national progress.
According to him, the Christmas season also provides an opportunity to reflect on the resilience of Nigerians and the spirit of cooperation that continues to define communities across the country in spite of prevailing challenges.
“Christmas teaches us that love is not just an emotion, but a responsibility, a responsibility to care for one another, to serve with sincerity and to place the common good above personal interest.
“When love guides our actions as individuals and as a nation, it becomes a powerful force for unity, trust, and sustainable national development,” he said
The ICRC boss said that national development was driven by people, the values they uphold, and the choices they make.
He said that love expressed through service, responsibility and integrity remained central to building a stronger nation.
He wished Nigerians a peaceful Christmas celebration and expressed hope for a new year characterised by compassion, shared purpose and sustained national progress.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
