NSCDC reunites missing 13-year-old boy with family in Kano

Kano, Jan.26, 2026(NAN) The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has reunited a missing 13-year-old boy, with his family at the command headquarters in Kano.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Idris-Abdullahi, disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday in Kano.
He said that the boy was found on Jan.20, 2026 wandering around Kwankwasiyya City along Zaria Road, Kano.
He said that the boy, a Fulani by tribe, hails from Dogon Hawa village in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to him, the minor was taken into the custody of the NSCDC Gender Unit, where he stayed for three days while efforts were made to trace his family.
“The parents were eventually located in Dogon Hawa village and informed of the whereabouts of their child,’’ he said.
Idris-Abdullahi added that the boy’s father, Malam Saleh, accompanied by some relatives, came to the NSCDC headquarters to receive the child.
He said that the family commended the NSCDC for its prompt intervention and humanitarian gesture, and assured that they would take proper care of the child to prevent a recurrence. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
