The Ladies’ Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN) will host its inaugural kitty to usher in its President and the 2025–2027 executive council on Feb. 14 in Abuja.
The event will hold at the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Golf Club, NAF Base, Airport Road, marking the official commencement of activities under the new leadership.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that an onboarding retreat for LGAN leaders will precede the kitty on Friday, Feb. 13, at the same venue, starting at 2 p.m.
LGAN President, Mrs Lami Ahmed, told NAN that the programme symbolises unity, growth and renewed commitment to the development of women’s golf nationwide.
“This inaugural kitty represents a fresh chapter for LGAN, built on inclusiveness, professionalism and a shared passion for the game,” Ahmed said.
She described the onboarding retreat as a strategic engagement designed to align leaders with the association’s vision for the 2025–2027 golfing season.
Ahmed expressed excitement over the expected presence of the Chairman of the kitty event, Mr Andrew Yakubu, and the Special Guest of Honour, Mrs Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan.
“We are honoured to welcome our distinguished guests, LGAN leaders, players and gentleman guest players to what promises to be a memorable celebration,” she added. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
