A private firm, AT&Encore Resource Nig. Ltd., has launched a mega brand to support Cross River Governor, Prince Bassey Otu’s efforts to rebuild the state’s economy and restore public confidence.

The Managing Director of the company, Engr. Sylvester Enyia, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday.

He said the initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda on growth, infrastructure and inclusive prosperity.

Enyia said the Otu administration had demonstrated capacity for economic revival through strategic reforms and people-centred policies across key sectors.

According to him, the reclaiming of Tinapa remains a landmark achievement, restoring confidence in tourism and reaffirming Cross River’s commitment to economic diversification.

“The Tinapa recovery sends a strong signal that Cross River is reclaiming its assets and restoring investor confidence,” he said.

He also praised the establishment of the Cross River State Diaspora Commission, describing it as a platform reconnecting Crossriverians in the diaspora with development at home.

“The Diaspora Commission unlocks skills, capital and networks that strengthen the state’s global economic relevance,” Enyia added.

The AT&Encore boss commended the Farm to Feed Cross River State Agriculture Project, noting that the distribution of over 100 tractors to rural farmers had boosted food production and job creation.

He also applauded the recalibration and acquisition of aircraft for Caliair, describing it as critical to tourism growth and regional connectivity.

“A functional Caliair enhances tourism, trade and investor access to Cross River State,” Enyia said.

He further hailed the Federal Government’s approval of the Bakassi Deep Sea Port, describing it as a game-changer for maritime trade and industrial expansion.

“The Bakassi Deep Sea Port will position Cross River as a major logistics and export hub in West Africa,” he said.

Enyia also commended the state’s e-governance reforms, including the My Cross River State Digital Application, for improving transparency and service delivery.

He explained that the “Make Cross River State Great Again” brand would amplify these achievements while mobilising citizens and investors nationwide.

Reacting, the Commissioner for Technology Transfer, Innovation and Investment, Mr Ignatius Oli, described the initiative as timely and development-driven.

According to him, the platform would unite Crossriverians at home and in the diaspora around innovation, investment and shared responsibility.

Also speaking, the Technical Adviser to the brand, Mr Lawrence Taiwo, stressed the need for secure digital systems to promote transparency and accountability.

He expressed optimism that the initiative would strengthen unity, boost national awareness and reinforce pride in Cross River State’s renewed economic direction. (NAN)
