Doma, (Nasarawa State), Feb. 8, 2026 (NAN) Mahasin Usman-Attah, an aspirant for Awe/Doma/Keana Federal Constituency on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform,  has distributed food items worth millions of naira to the vulnerable at Agbashi community of Doma Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.

Usman-Attah in her remarks during the distribution on Sunday, said that the items were to ameliorate the sufferings of the people and put smiles on their faces.

She said that the donated items, which included rice, semolina, beans, sachets of tomatoes, noodles, salt, and seasoning cubes, among others, were targeted at widows, orphans, and the elderly in the community.

She promised to extend the gesture to other vulnerable groups in all the communities of the constituency to further connect with them and understand their challenges better.

Usman-Attah acknowledged the challenges faced by women in politics, particularly in a male-dominated environment like hers.

She noted that no woman has ever won an election in the area, making her determination to succeed, even stronger, and to prove that women have a lot to contribute towards making the country better and more secure.

“I want to bring genuine development to my people, and if I have the opportunity, I will prioritise the road from Doma to Agbashi, which is critical to the development of the entire area.

“I will prioritise girl-child education and empowerment programmes for women and the youths as well as the elderly in my constituency.

“I will also sponsor quality bills and move important motions that would ensure peace, employment opportunities for the youths, and attract development and investment to our people to complement the efforts of the state and federal governments,” she added.

The aspirant had consultation meetings with different groups in the area and informed them of her intentions to contest for the House of Representatives and seek their blessings as her kinsmen and parents.

The aspirant also visited the palace of the Utushoho of Agbashi, Moses Adigashi-Alade,  and Alh. Adamu Ogah, District Head of Agbashi for consultations and royal blessings.

Beneficiaries of the food items in the community, appreciated  Usman-Attah’s kindness and commitment to their welfare.

Sarah David, a beneficiary, told newsmen that the gesture had brought relief and hope to some of them.

She expressed the hope that Usman-Attah representation would transform the Constituency, if given the opportunity.

She, therefore, urged other politicians and spirited individuals to emulate Usman-Attah’s generousity and assist the poor and the vulnerable. (NAN). (www.nannews.ng).
