President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Mr Ismaeel Ahmed on his birthday, commending his contributions to public service, youth mobilisation and good governance.
The president described Ahmed, Executive Chairman, Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas and Electric Vehicles (PiCNG & EV), as a committed leader driving one of the administration’s ambitious energy transition programmes.
This is contained in a statement issued by Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, on Wednesday in Abuja.
Tinubu noted that the initiative aims to provide affordable and sustainable energy for transportation while supporting Nigeria’s transition to cleaner energy alternatives and reducing reliance on conventional fossil fuels.
He described Ahmed as a dedicated emerging leader who has remained steadfast in strengthening the progressive political movement since the formative years of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The president recalled Ahmed’s role in mobilising young Nigerians through the APC Youth Forum and his tenure as National Youth Leader of the APC.
He said that Ahmed contributed significantly to expanding youth participation in the party and deepening grassroots engagement across different parts of the country during his time in that position.
Tinubu also highlighted Ahmed’s service as Senior Special Assistant to former President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Investments, where he contributed to key intervention programmes.
He further noted Ahmed’s role as Secretary of the Policy and Strategy Directorate of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign during the 2023 general elections.
The president wished Ahmed good health, renewed strength and greater wisdom as he continues to contribute to national development and public service. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
