Oba Semiudeen Kasali of Igbogbo Kingdom, Ikorodu, Lagos State, has offered free Computer-Based Test (CBT) training to 500 senior secondary students from six public schools in his community.

The initiative is part of activities marking the forthcoming 10th Coronation Anniversary of the traditional ruler.

Prince Adesegun Ogunlewe, Chairman, Central Planning Committee for the anniversary, said  this in a statement on Sunday in Lagos.

Ogunlewe, a former Lagos State Head of Service, said the training is scheduled for Tuesday at HOMAT CBT Centre, Igbogbo.

He quoted the traditional ruler as saying, “Knowledge is the lasting crown we can give our young people,” stressing education’s role in community development.

The beneficiary schools are: Zumratul Islamiyah Grammar School; Community Secondary School, Bayeku; Lagos State Model Girls College, Agunfoye; Reri Secondary School, Oreta; Oreyo Grammar School; and Civil Service Model College.

Ogunlewe added that participants would benefit from hands-on CBT practice, exam-strategy coaching, and career guidance to boost their preparedness for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Ogunlewe said the programme reflects the traditional ruler’s long-standing commitment to advancing education as key to sustainable development in Igbogbo.

He said that the initiative also seeks to enhance digital literacy and boost students’ confidence in computer-based examinations.(NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
