The Progressives Network for Tinubu (PNT) has endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term, declaring that his “Renewed Hope Agenda” is delivering tangible results.
The Director-General of PNT, Pastor Olumide Obadele, made this announcement at a news conference in Abuja on Wednesday.
“The last three years of President Tinubu’s administration have moved Nigeria from where it used to be to where it ought to be.
“In all honesty, the last three years have been those of fulfilled promises. Major policy decisions have been taken in the best interest of Nigerians at home and in the diaspora”.
Highlighting economic reforms, Obadele praised the removal of fuel subsidies and the floating of the Naira, adding that savings from these measures are now being directed toward developmental projects across all levels of government.
On education, he said, “NELFUND has disbursed over N206 billion to more than 1.16 million students since May 2024, including N128.84 billion for tuition and N77.45 billion for upkeep. No Nigerian is denied tertiary education for lack of funds”.
Obadele also highlighted infrastructure, noting the construction of major highways, including the 1,068km Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway and the 750km Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway.
He added that the 477km Trans–Saharan Highway and the 422km Akwanga–Jos–Bauchi–Gombe Highway are key projects linking regions and promoting national integration.
Regarding Nigeria’s global standing, he said, “The Nigerian Passport improved from 103rd in 2025 to 89th in January 2026, allowing visa-free access to 45 destinations.
“This is due to digitalisation and adoption of polycarbonate technology by the Ministry of Interior”.
On diplomacy, he added, “President Tinubu’s recent two-day state visit to the United Kingdom, at the invitation of King Charles III, is the first in 57 years, signalling growing international recognition”.
Urging Nigerians to support continuity in 2027, Obadele said all stakeholders must work together to ensure the Tinubu-led administration remains in office.
He added that backing the president’s re-election would help build a nation Nigerians can be proud of.
He also commended Dr Bunmi Ojo for mobilising grassroots support and implementing humanitarian initiatives in Ondo, noting that these efforts helped strengthen local backing for the administration. (NAN)
